Why Is My AC Not Cooling? A Central Ohio HVAC Guide
Columbus summers pile heat on humidity and push AC units hard. Start with the easy stuff: replace a clogged air filter (the #1 cause) and check the thermostat (set to “cool,” fan “auto”). If that doesn’t fix it, keep going.
Airflow problems

The outdoor unit
Check the condenser: is the fan spinning, is it caked in debris? Clear it and give it a foot of space. Fan not running on a cooling call = electrical/component fault.
Low refrigerant
